Wheeeeee

Ok, Wii.

Wii finally got one and wii love it! Wii’ve been haphazardly looking for one for a while now, but, as you know, stores are always sold out. Today wii stumbled upon a few boxes at a furniture store of all places! The guy there told us that they had gotten in 100 that morning, and what wii saw was all they had left…there was maybe 8 boxes left. Wii quickly grabbed one and hi-tailed it on out of there, and let me tell you, dunno why my search was so haphazard, that game is COOL. Even Lydia can play it with some success and a great deal of joy. So what games do wii HAVE to have?

And in other news. Eric has been “shopping” for a bigger tv for months now. Probably at least 8 months has been spent researching and considering…with three months of more intense shopping. Well today he finally made a decision and, come Sat, wii are going to have a big honking tv in our living room. Just in time for…….you guessed it….football season. Last year, he complained that our tv was just too small because he couldn’t read the scores anymore. (ahem, cough, sputter). I remember how HUGE our current tv seemed when wii bought it years ago. And I tease Eric, but I’m looking forward to the tv too…finally get to see what all that HDTV hype is about, and now when wii do movie nights, it will be rockin’. And a lifesize Dora the Explorer? What three year old could ask for more?

  1. I’m anxious to hear what Eric finally settles on. I’m jonesing for a big screen tv tooooooo…..

  2. OK – Wii ;) have a pile of games downstairs, but I would have to say that a must-have first game would be Rayman Raving Rabbids: (I just tried to add the link to the game, but apparently that made this look like a spam comment and it was deleted and said I had bad spam karma! You can look it up on nintendo dot com.)
It doesn’t matter who in the room is playing, everyone will be laughing.

  3. Aunt Cindy, he got a Sony 55″ something or other. Not plasma, not LCD..the thing in between. Kinda like DLP, but the Sony version. Gets good reviews but more affordable than the LCD one he was eyeing, so he gets more tv for his money and had had left over funds for a Blue Ray Player. Let me know if you’d like the actual model number or something :-) It arrives on Sat…we’ll see how much space it will take up. It looks like it will be similar to what we have with our tv armoire, etc. (the armoire will go to our bedroom..I think it matches our dresser perfectly, so I’m excited)

Andrea, I’ll have to look for that Rayman Raving Rabbids. Thanks for the tip! We’ve been having a lot of fun with the sports pack that comes with it, and we got that wii game pack that comes with the extra remote…just has several other little games. We just rented a sonic game from blockbusters (the girls are huge sonic fans).

  4. The commercial for Harry Potter on Wii has me intrigued…using the controller realistically like a wand looks so fun!

  5. The Harry Potter game is fun too. :)
