READING???? At the age of TWO???

We were in the speech waiting room this morning, and Lydia asked me to read her a book. About halfway through the book she yanked it away and said (yelled), “I want to read it!” so I let her take the book (who can reason with her???) and after about 30 seconds of silence and her just staring at the book intently, she says in a super cute voice, “But I can’t read!” It was like she really thought she could do it if she tried hard enough! Everyone in the waiting room cracked up

    Um no Andrea, she’s TWO! LOL

    Actually I shouldn’t talk, as I do know of several kids who could read at 2….Jessica included. Plus Lydia insists on doing reading with Meredith, so she very well could be reading before she is done being 2 :-)
