we got a dog

we adopted a doggy from a local humane society – DIESEL He is a very sweet dog, and so smart. We sat down to dinner and he went and sat in the living room to wait for us to finish. He is already house trained, and just a sweet guy. So far Allison hasn’t had any issues with hives, but is experiencing some stuffy nose and watery/itchy eyes. We are going to wait and see how she does. Hopefully she will become acclimated. It seems like one can acclimate if they are only dealing with respitory issues but when an allergy sufferer deals with hives, it is more difficult. So maybe it will be ok! Allison and Meredith really love him, and as soon as he walked in the door, he strutted around like he had always lived in this house. Lydia, however, is not so fond of him. She likes to look at him when he is sleeping, and say “dog dog dog” but if he is awake, she is very nervous. Probably doesn’t help that I had her laying on the floor for a diaper change while the kids had him in the backyard. He comes in before Lydia is off of the floor, and starts running around like a nut, ending his romp strattling Lydia’s head! The poor baby was trapped under a doggy pee pee! Yeah, that may have set her back a bit in the warming up to doggy department!
