4th of July in Redstone!

Just a shot of the kids with Gramp soon after we arrived.

Some shots related to the annual parade. Before the parade, Meredith hears the sirens, during the parade, and after.

Meredith becomes one with nature

The kids nap after the parade

Gram drug out the placemats that we (meaning me, my sister and my cousins) used to fight over as kids. It was so cool seeing them and then seeing MY kids enjoying them as we used to.

We went to the firework show in Aspen. Brian apparently was very tired.

Amy, Allison and Allison’s shoes show us their tongues

These were from our walk down the Blvd.

While on our walk we stopped to enjoy some ice cream. I think that this was Meredith’s first cone EVER!

At the park in Redstone

Just a few of the THOUSANDS of pictures we took while we were playing at the river.

Back home at Gram and Gramp’s

On our way back home (before the screaming began)

  1. Looks like a fabulous time in Redstone. Nice job on all of the pictures Deanna, but next time we want to be able to see you also! (I’ll show you my patented arm-length technique someday…)

    Thanks for sharing!

    Alan

  2. Loved the pictures & recap of your 4th. It was good to see Amy & Brian. So very glad that your girls get to enjoy Redstone & Gram & Gramp like all of you kids did. Now I have to hurry to get ready for work. Love to all & thank you. Oh, I agree with Alan, need more pics of you!

Thanks Deanna…loved being in Redstone with you through your pictures. Love, Aunt Janet

  4. Thanks all,

And Hey Alan, there is a shot of me in there..with my beautiful girls down by the river. Thanks to your sister offering to take a shot of us. And then Jess caught a candid one of me with my hand in the air and my mouth open. Won’t be sharing that one. And Amy was polite enough to delete another one of me off of her camera, which also included my hand in the air and my mouth open. Have I told you people that I just don’t photograph well????

  5. Deanna, 4th of july, for us, included popping a few small fountains and lighting sparklers, only to have them thrown (by Tim as well as Tristen) onto the gravel the moment any sparks came close to touching hand or arm skin! After we popped our $10 assortment of fireworks, we parked (with about a million others) behind a store building facing Yale Ave. We got out our parachute camp chairs and set up on the sidewalk to watch the Bells Amusement Park Fireworks show. WOW – Colorado vs Oklahoma, two totally different worlds huh!?!? Looks like everyone had fun, except for maybe Meredith when the sirens were blaring!!! [PS- Alan, your arm is probably 4 to 8 inches longer than Deanna’s. It’s hard to get a good self-portrait when you’ve got short arms!)
