I am so excited! Look at my blog now! Just look at it…step away from your computer so that you can really admire it! Isn’t it amazing??? You can admit it….it is utterly amazing.
I’ve been busy with it the past two days! I created a new style with the three columns instead of two, I dinked around with the appearance some….modifying the colors by HAND, (Alan, please don’t let on that this wasn’t a big deal, kay? I’m trying to impress people here)..I created some coding (by copying some guys advice) that will enable me to put thumbnails of my photo site right here on my main site…so you can click on them and go directly to that picture on the other site. I really wrestled with this one! And then I created a lovely banner (don’t you think it is lovely?), and after wrestling with it for about 12 hours straight, my genius cousin swooped in and saved the day…putting it right in place for me. Isn’t he great? And he did all that with a brand new baby in arms (I am convinced that Tobey helped)…the cutest baby on the planet (at this moment in time, cause mine were pretty durn cute when they were babies – now they are the cutest teen, the cutest preschooler and the cutest toddler on the planet). Thank you Alan, from the bottom of my computer chair, and the big seat that fills it, thank you!!!
It isn’t totally done yet, but done enough for me to share. The banner needs some attention on the archive pages, and I plan to copy the style over to the photo album page to create a more uniform appearance between the two sites, but that will come in time…but enough is done that you can get the idea and offer any suggestions or comments before I commit to anything.

Ok, first off, your loyality SHOULD lie within your direct family first! No offense Alan, but I beg to disagree with Deanna; Our baby, Taylor, is in fact the cutest baby on the planet! Alan can have the cutest newborn and I’ll take the cutest 8 month old, OK? How’s that for fair?!?! My reccomendation would be to change the color of the text that reads Family News in your banner, so that it stands out a little more. Also, Can you move your girls’ foreheads up a little bit, so we can see eyes to put a name to the corresponding forehead? Some foreheads are fine, but I saw 3 slightly unidentifiable foreheads up there!
One more thing, and I don’t know if this problem was from your end or my receiving end, but two places in your text were blotched so I couldn’t read the line.
Otherwise, I thought it was great. My computer knowledge still wants to revert back to the old simple ways of DOS! I feel like I’m losing more and more computer knowledge with each passing day! ~ Debbi ~

hook them up!! This summer in MN would be
fine.
I also was having trouble reading some of the
lines of text. It seemed like every so often
there would be a line that only showed the top
half of the text. Once you fix that, you should
send me an email!

Ok, first off thanks for the compliments everyone. I like the site too.
Now concerns regarding the text. This has been raised before and are you guys telling me that you didn’t have this trouble with the old site? Do you have it with anything else? Like email or other websites? I get it with several sites, including my old one, and I get it pretty consistently with email, but, as Genius Cousin Alan stated, it is probably due to a graphics card. My computer is older…to fix the problem, I either scroll through it, or I highlight the text. I consistently have this problem with numerous sites and email, so I think that it is on the receivers’ end rather than on the site’s end. Now if you guys are telling me that you ONLY have this problem on my site, then I, hmm, just don’t know what to say. Please tell me if that is the case, kay?
And Debbi, you were supposed to go to the main site of http://www.butlerindexing.com/family as that is how the banner will appear. I do need to fix it on the archive pages, and if you just clicked on the archive link in the email, that is where you went, and that is what shows up here in the comments box. Go back to the main page and let me know what you think there!
And FINALLY, regarding the cutests of the cutests debates….yes Deb, when I called Tobey the cutest baby on the planet, I did mean the cutest newborn. The cutest full-fledged baby title does indeed belong to Taylor. Sorry for not being clearer on that. And Judy, yes, the cutest preschooler is a gender specific title, whereas Allison is the cutest FEMALE preschooler, and Parker is indeed the cutest MALE preschooler. Again, I apologize for not being clearer
