Wow, Jess has been busy with this blog, huh? She’s such a good writer, she should have a lot to contribute here. But I guess if I want my voice to be heard at all, I need to keep up somewhat!
Nothing much going on today. Allison has a cold. Poor little girl. Seems like we just got over our last cold around here. She is getting so frustrated at the presence of her sniffles. She wants me to make them stop. I wish I could. I don’t know where she got this cold. No one else is sick, and lets hope it stays that way!
I am taking Allison and Meredith to the doctor tomorrow. Just a check-up, nothing major. I’m anxious to see what Meredith weighs. We are going to OK in about two weeks, and if she weighs enough, I would like to have her sit in the built in carseat of our van. I think that would be fun for her, she will be sitting next to her sister like a big girl, and maybe make the trip a bit easier. But we will see! Since she’s over a year old, she meets the age requirements. We are looking for her to weigh about 22lbs, I think. I think that the law requires them to weigh 20lbs before they can be turned forward facing, but the manual of my van says 22lbs for these seats.
Nothing much else to report. I finished marking my index last night. Now to get on to the data entry portion of the job. I hope to be finished with the entire thing by this weekend. No other projects on the works, although I am sort of expecting one or two early in November. I hope that they materialize. I sort of got used to having steady work! I am doing a marketing thing right now, so maybe I can get some new clients in soon. My main client wants me to lower my rates, so I think that is why my projects are slowing right now. They are going to cheaper indexers. Oh well. Sometimes you get what you pay for!
Oh, and I am going to start a sewing project. I am going to attempt to create a Halloween costume for Allison. She is going to be a fairy! We are going to go pick out the material today. I would make a matching fairy costume for Meredith but she fits into Allison’s old LadyBug costume and looks so cute. Plus I don’t think that I have enough time to create two costumes. Maybe next year I will make them matching costumes. I always wanted to make Jess’s costumes, but not knowing how to sew, and not having a sewing machine sort of interfered with that goal. Now she is old enough to make her own costumes, should she choose to dress up. I don’t think that she is going to dress up this year….maybe just color her hair with a temporary hair dye. I don’t know why she’d want to do that because her hair is such a beautiful color (or should I say colors), but she does. She has the hair color that many women try to find when they color their hair. But she wants to see how she looks with different colored hair, and I guess I can understand that somewhat.
Well gotta run. Allison’s nose is bothering her, and Meredith smells funny.
